Monitor Achieve CEPA Certification

We are very pleased to announce that Monitor has recently achieved accreditation to the CEPA (Confederation of European Pest Management Associations) standard, a new initiative launched earlier this year to measure the competency and professionalism of pest control companies throughout Europe.

The British Pest Control Association (BPCA) and CEPA believe that this new certification will reinforce confidence among end-users, ensuring they receive a service carried out by personnel who are qualified to deal with all species of both rodents and insects, and are well versed in integrated pest management, the use of chemicals and health and safety issues.

Gary Howard, Managing Director at Monitor, said: “Being CEPA certified adds huge credibility to us as an organisation. In order to gain certification to the scheme, our procedures and qualifications underwent a thorough examination, and going forward will be re-assessed every 18 months. In addition, all members of staff are required to complete continued professional development, ensuring they will always be up to date with the latest techniques and technology”.

Gary continued, “We’re really pleased to see the CEPA scheme introduced. Pest control isn’t just about eliminating pests; we have a duty of care to the public and the environment, so it’s essential that we have approved methods to follow. This new certification is a positive step towards standardising pest control procedures and making it harder for unqualified personnel to operate.”
